Pita Pizza's In the House
My doll of a friend, Christine, is not the chef of our group of friends, nor neither am I, but she made us all these said pita pizzas. Since most of us love pizza, or at least like the thing, I'm going to share this cheaper, healthier, alternative to the greasy, slightly pricey, little delicacy.
You need this:
Pack of Pita bread (we chose honey whole wheat, oww oww)
Mozzarella Cheese
Pizza or spaghetti sauce
Any desired toppings you prefer; pepperonis, artichokes, olives... you get the point.
(this is your pizza folks)
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Spread naked pitas out on baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
3.Spread on a touch of olive oil and you desired sauce.
4.Shred up your cheese and go to town.
5.Add fun fixings and flavors, we added a sprinkle of oregano.
6.Pop pita tray back into the oven for another 15 min and wah lah! It's amore!
Esitmated Cost: $5-$15 to feed a family full of pitas, or have tons of material to make more later in the week.
